P&A Invites Public Comment on Agency Priorities

(Bismarck, ND) The Protection & Advocacy Project (P&A) is the leading civil rights organization for people with disabilities in North Dakota.  P&A’s mission is to champion the equality and inclusion of people with disabilities where we live, work, and play.

P&A fulfills its mission by providing services to individuals with disabilities and their support networks. These services include information and referral, self-advocacy assistance, advocacy representation, legal representation, protective services, education and training, systems work, and legislative advocacy.

P&A is requesting input on the issues that are most important to individuals with disabilities and their support networks.  All stakeholders and members of the public are invited to provide feedback from May 19 through June 18 by completing an online survey at surveymonkey.com/r/priority24.

P&A will also host two virtual townhall events on May 23, 2023 at 6pm (CT) and May 31, 2023 at 1pm (CT).  These events will highlight the agency’s current priorities and allow time for questions and sharing of ideas from the public.  More information at ndpanda.org/events.

Feedback from people with disabilities, their families, advocates, service providers, and others will be used to help shape P&A’s priorities for federal fiscal year 2024 (Oct. 2023 – Sept. 2024). P&A’s annual priorities guide its work and use of limited resources to administer services in North Dakota.
